Amazon Prime Day 2018 Date Leaked

Amazon Prime Day 2018 set to take place on July 16th-17th

Ready for a full 36 hours of epic Amazon deals?

According to a recent publication by TechRadar, the Amazon Prime Day date has been leaked and is set to kick off at midday Monday, July 16th and run through till midnight July 17th. That’s a full 36 hours of Prime Day bargains!

The original prediction was the 10th and 11th (but we all know that those are the dates of the first and second semi-final games of the world cup, so it makes sense that they would want to avoid those dates).

What Deals Can We Expect This Year?

As usual, Amazon will be pushing their own products hard this Prime Day. Products like the Echo, Echo Dot, Firestick, Kindles and Tablets are likely to be the cheapest they have ever been. Expect to see Prime subscriptions heavily discounted in the lead up as well…sorry to the current members.

But the biggest increase from last year will be from Amazon’s marketplace sellers. It is highly likely that retailers will play a much bigger role than ever before with deals on items like; 4k TVs, game consoles, wine and spirits, beauty products, and more.

Prime Day 2017: The stats, trends and most popular products

Last year, sales grew by 60% compared to the year before, so you can expect Amazon to build on that success. One of the highest selling products was the Amazon Dot, which was discounted to 50% of the full price and sold over six thousand units.

Here are some of the other best-sellers of 2017;

  • The Instant Pot Pressure Cooker – This was the highest selling item for 2016 as well. I think I see a bit of a trend here.

  • 23andMe’s DNA Test – I guess there are a lot of people who want to see where they came from. Do you think it has something to do with this video that came out last year?

  • TP-Link Smart Plug – Across the pond, the wifi enabled smart plug from TP-link flew off the shelves.

  • Sony Playstation 4 – Game consoles were hugely popular last year, and nothing is set to change in 2018.

So get your online stores ready for a crazy 36 hours! We’ll have more updates coming your way in the lead up to Prime Day 2018.
